Sunday, December 3rd, on the First Sunday in Advent, Pastor Bob shared a message on the Hope we have both in the First and Second coming of Christ. Many so called ministries often abuse the teaching of the end times, and many have made predictions that never came true. The key is having the Hope of Christ, and not live in fear. The word “Wisdom” appears around 234 times in the Old and New Testament of the Bible. Wisdom is often a misunderstood commodity, but it is something that is important in our Christian life. Jesus, in the Parable of the Ten Virgins (5 wise, 5 foolish), gives us an example of how we should be wise. On Sunday, November 12th Pastor Bob Biermann shared a important message on truly being wise. On Sunday, November 5th, Pastor Bob shared a message of hope as we commemorated the Feast of All Saints Day. According to some sources, the idea for All Saints' Day goes back to the fourth century when the Greek Christians kept a festival on the first Sunday after Pentecost (in late May or early June) in honor of all martyrs and saints. Other sources say that a commemoration of “All Martyrs” began to be celebrated as early as 270 CE, but no specific month or date is recorded. Having All Saints Day on the first of November dates back to the 9th Century, and has been celebrated by Christians of many denominations. On Sunday, October 8, Pastor Bob shared a message on "Stealing the Vineyard." Many claim the name of Christ; want the benefits of His passion, but none of the commitment. The children of His promise, (the Jews) rejected the Lordship and authority of Jesus Christ. We, the gentile people, have been “grafted” onto the “Tree of Life.” Today we have “Cultural Christians” that are no different than the Jews of old, claiming the benefit, but rejecting His lordship and authority.
